This tree was planted in our yard in honour and celebration of my parents 50th wedding anniversary in 2007. In the distance you see their home through the tree leaves.

Now I will introduce you to a little creature that hung on a shrub branch for a few weeks. I admired her hanging on the different branches everyday until one day I could no longer find her there. She had travelled a distance when I saw her on the foundation wall of our home. There she was wiggling her way to the ground. From there I never saw her again. Where is she gone? I don’t know. I just hope that our dog didn’t find her and think that she was a play mate. When I posted it on Facebook someone did a bit of research and she thought it might be a Cecropia moth. Whatever she was, she sure was beautiful.

I’m so grateful for this little video that I took of her… enjoy! Click on the photo to go and see her in action. I’m posting my first YouTube video. Yay!

Below if you click on the images, that will bring you to a previous blog post for each of our seasons. Feel free to share my posts with others. Enjoy!

  2. I love seeing your world through these images! Awesome video, too.

  3. You have such an eye for beauty Suzanne, and the photos are heart-stoppingly beautiful as a result. Thank you so much. For some reason, the sight of your parent’s house through the trees caught me the most. Wonderful.

    • That’s awesome Yaz that the photo of my parents home through their anniversary tree is what caught your attention the most. Love it. That photo was intentional when I took it for the reason that they may not be there forever and as this tree continues to grow we will no longer be able to see their home through the leaves with time. Blessings! xo

  4. Suzanne –

I love the way you see through your eyes for photos! You also have magnificent photos of your paintings…they are gorgeous. I was the lucky winner for your watercolor greeting cards…they really wowed me. The video was a great share, as most people will never get to see a Cecropia Moth caterpillar or even see the mature form.

    Keep creating and sharing!

  5. These are fabulous pictures Suzanne. Gorgeous shots ! Loved them all , would love to know more about the statue of the horse and the man ( boy ? ). But a lovely capture of your world .

    • Thank you for the lovely comments Sandy. :) The statue of the horse and the man Sandy was in a church graveyard. There was a small plaque that read “ARRIVAL – United Empire Loyalist 1782 – Ralph Sketch Sc. 1988″. That’s all that I know about it.

  6. Suzanne, these are amazing shots! They tell not only so much of the full life you live, but also the time that you take to ‘smell the roses’! One can see the transformation in your life by the love you exhibit in doing your passion(s). Thank you for the candid look into your world! xo

  7. Wonderful summer! Joy and abundance captures by your lens. May you keep attracting myriads more of plentiful days. Suzanne. ♥

  8. What a beautiful post, Suzanne! I always take a little time and grab a coffee or tea before reading your posts. Always so much goodness to absorb. I may try and do a post like this as I took so many photos this summer and have not shared. Thanks always for your sweet inspiration. You make this world a better place.

  9. What a delightful photo chronicle of your summer Suzanne. And what a wonderful idea in the first place. It was great fun reviewing all your seasons. What a film star that caterpillar is – definitely deserves a best costume award.

  10. What an amazing way to share your summer. I love all your photos. They are wonderful!
