The Lotus Flower…
Like the lotus flower that is born out of mud, we must honour the darkest parts of ourselves and the most painful of our life’s experiences, because they are what allow us to birth our most beautiful self.
I give thanks to my sister Denise for going out of her way to take this photo just for me. This quote really spoke to me.
It is so true, that the darkest most painful life experiences that we can have, truly do at some point begin to break us apart, break us open and from that place it allows us to begin birthing and revealing the most beautiful parts of ourselves.
There are many gifts and treasures buried underneath the darkness and the pain. But when we allow ourselves to simply be in it, even when we have no clue where it’s taking us, do not give up for the treasures will begin to show up.
So I don’t urge you to go looking for trouble, or painful life experiences, but if you happen to be navigating that now like I have experienced for a very long time, then I say hang on but with a loose grip. Allow what needs to fall to simply fall away. Don’t despair for you truly will be brought to something beautiful. Something you never could have imagined or guessed will show up if you are patient enough. And a different version than who you thought you were will also begin to show up, to emerge, to rise out of the ashes of your experiences. It truly is the most beautiful gift a person can ever receive. Today I do give thanks for the darkness, the challenges, all the pain I have experienced and can still continue to experience, for out of that so much beauty is beginning to show itself. I wish the same to you!!
