Brave Girls: GIVEAWAY “Soul Comfort” eCourse

Soul Comfort eCourseTo the tired, the exhausted, the overstretched…here’s an invitation (a GIVEAWAY)…

Life can be simple.

What if we celebrated the brave act of….taking a break?

What if simplicity,
comfort, and quiet were the goal?

What if there really was a way to quiet the chatter in our minds and let us recharge our body & soul?

And what if it was fun, too?

Introducing a new eCourse . . .

Soul Comfort

Soul Comfort is a fresh new concept using art and journaling as a means to relax and comfort yourself and to get grounded while dealing with the craziness of every-day living.

This course if full of beautiful projects to fuel your creativity in very simple and easy ways that are meditational and relaxing , beautiful comforting things that will have your soul infused into them so that you want to keep them forever.

Brave Girls Club - Melody RossMelody (course creator and teacher) says, “I want to teach you some new habits of creativity mixed with simplicity that I have learned over the years. Being a recovering hoarder of supplies and techniques, this is really a new way to give yourself permission to do things simply but beautifully.

One of the most wonderful things about this course is that everything fits into one fabric tote bag . . . I wanted to create a whole course where all of the supplies fit into a tiny space so that you could take it everywhere you go…so that you could do it sitting on your bed, on your couch, with your family, do it with your children, in the car, wherever your day takes you. It’s incredible. This has changed my life. This has been something that I have used on my own and I can’t wait to share it with you.”

You can count on this class to be . . .

  • enlightening, enjoyable, fun, & simple
  • customizable with many choices to fit your exact style
  • interactive, encouraging, and supportive with a private community on Facebook and weekly live chats
  • a beautiful experience that will help you relax, simplify, and enjoy your life
  • a place to learn simple new ways to journal, plus the ”Brave Girl” way to use stitching and such to create both beautiful things you’ll love AND peaceful relaxing moments
  • a place to learn exactly what nourishes YOUR body and soul, and how to fit comforting rituals into your day
  • something that you can finish without feeling overwhelmed
  • produced with the level of caring and excellence and attention to detail that Brave Girls Club is known for

We’ve worked to narrow down things to quench the yearning of your soul…to be able to be creative but also to be sensitive to the mess that it makes and the time that it takes as well as the brain space it takes for complicated tools and techniques. We will teach you fun ways to make beautiful things while relaxing yourself . . .and we’ll be participating in the class right along with you.

  • This will be relaxing, fun, and simple
  • You’ll be able to take it along with you, everywhere you go
  • Instead of overwhelming you with one more thing to stress out about, this eCourse will help you relax, enjoy, and feel comfort and peace no matter what else is going on in your life.

Relaxation? What’s that like?? Simplification – oh yeah! Sewing? My mama taught me to sew on my grandma’s treadle sewing machine…oh, the memories!! Yes, I would love it.

  2. What if no stress or less stress equaled soul comfort? What if soul comfort equaled a new life style?! I’m all for that! Thanks, Suzanne, for hosting!

I would love to be more creative and craft, however I always get stuck because I feel that I don’t have the time to. I stress and have a lot of anxiety and I have a hard time “relaxing”. I am one who cannot simply sit on the couch and “relax”. I would love to learn how to balance my life so that I am able to craft! :) Soul Comfort is what I need! :)

  4. I so need to simplify! And I have learned so much from all of the BG classes. I would love help learning how to nourish my body and soul <3 So excited for this amazing giveaway Suzanne!

  5. We as women have a difficult time with self care because we are naturally the nurturers. We take care of everyone else but ourselves and even feel guilty when taking time and doing something for ourselves. We end up finding ourselves lost, tired and depleted, unable to give our best to ourselves and those we love. So taking this course would help me in getting down to the “soul comfort” of nurturing my own soul. I’m hoping this course can bring a calmness and peace that is so desired in my life.

  6. Melody had me at “creativity mixed with simplicity.” I love to get out the Mod Podge, paper, and paint, but the time it takes to get everything out and then clean up afterward usually deters me from even starting. Learning some simple, and portable, art techniques would enable me to journal wherever and whenever I like. That is VERY appealing!

  7. I love the idea of everything fitting into one bag so you can take your comfort anywhere! I can always use some comfort no matter where I am. Thank you sooo much for sponsoring a seat in this class!

  9. It’s time for me to re-center myself. Take a little time to just breathe. And have some fun. This course looks perfect. Thank you for the chance!!!

  10. Dawn Conery says:

Stress is my middle name these days! Heavy duty life changes including now raising a grandchild has challenged me. I would love this class! Thanks for the chance. I have never been able to take one of your classes before and this would be the perfect one for me to start with.

  11. Love. Need! I am embarking on a scary new path, branching out on my own, trying to support my two daughters and I on my own with loaded up with creative will power. This might be a nice way to calm the fears and the inner critic… What a generous giveway! xo – M

  12. Everything! I think this is the ecourse I need at this point in my life. I think the simplicity of it all.

  13. The idea that creativity can also be simple. Instead of lugging around a bunch of materials, and getting stuck at the part where it seems like it takes more to get out your materials and get started than anything, the idea of being able to have all of your materials in one bag and bring it with you wherever is appealing. “Soul Comfort” is something my soul desperately needs after a few very stressful and soul-upsetting years. In a span of three years, my mother died unexpectedly, my father was diagnosed with cancer, and my husband left me with, at the time, a 19-month-old, to care for on my own. I don’t do much for myself, but soul comfort is something my soul actually needs right about now. Thank you for hosting this fantastic giveaway!

  14. I would like to experience Soul Comfort to learn more strategies for simplifying and being in the moment. Just pulled my kids out of school to experience a year of less stressful and less time constrained living… We could all use help with that goal!!

  15. Donna Peter says:

I’ve learnt that over the years that I have taken BG classes, my soul has learnt to be serene via art. I learnt that about myself during the 1st SR1 class.

My soul connects with art and God together!! I had never done that before until BGC.

    Thank you

  16. Being surrounded by books, some lit candles, maybe a fire burning. Also the sounds of my little 4-year old happily singing or playing by herself. These things warm my soul.

  17. I want to take this class to have a sense of calm during the holiday season.
I want to learn to take better care of myself in this community of other sisters.
Thank you so much for the chance to win! :)

  18. i’ve gotten so much out of past bg classes i’ve taken that i know this class is filled with life changing topics from melody and kathy. the art really helps to concrete the principles in ones soul while making it fun to learn cool techniques. i’d love to take this class because at this stage my life is constant stress of being a caregiver to my elderly/very ill aunt & having loads of health problems of my own along with just regular family obligations i often feel like a pressure cooker jiggling to point of exploding. if this could help me destress, simplify and let go a bit i would be thankful. the lower key format sounds wonderful. thanks for chance to win

  19. Honestly I have had a rough couple of years of many things and I have really forgotten how to take care of me. Around the holidays it gets worse, as family usually calls a few days before saying we are coming to visit. This ends up sending me into a tail spin and who gets forgotten? Me, so I want to change that. I truly need to be a rest.

  20. Oohh, I’ve never worked with Melody and I’d love to , I’ve heard so much magic about her from my gorgeous friends/sisters

  21. Soul comfort and The Fall Season – there is no better combination!

  22. I love that you can take this course with you anywhere. I also love the fact that this is not a high paced overwhelming class. Learning to take time for myself, relax, and create sounds very intriguing to me.

  23. Thanks for hosting this giveaway Suzanne! Honestly, after the sometimes agonizing work to clean out my Soul House, I’m more than ready for some Soul Comfort!

  24. I want to take this class from Brave Girls, because Soul Comfort shouldn’t be something women need to be reminded to do (and yet most of us always put others first). I love doing crafts (among other things) but haven’t allowed myself the time to do the things that only I like to do.

  25. Just reading the description of the new Soul Comfort course is reminding me to stop and nourish myself today! Taking the course will give me some more tools and reminders.

  26. I just KNOW that I would enjoy Soul Comfort after watching the video and seeing the photos of projects – there is SO much goodness to comfort the soul and warm the creativity! Thanks for the chance to win!

  27. Simplicity… Relaxation! Love both those words and the sound of Soul Comfort.

  28. I must say that it is the portability and the timing of the class that attracts me. I love the way it will help me keep perspective during the busy holiday season. A gift for myself. Thank you for the chance to win!!

Just the words Soul Comfort sounds so peaceful…And that in itself is enough for me to wish for a spot in this class… Oh how wonderful to be able to take your Soul Comfort with you where-ever you go…How great is that!!!

  30. This class just makes me feel warm and fuzzy hearing “soul comfort”. I want to take this class because as a wife and mother I want to learn how to find peach within myself without feeling guilty when I want to do something for myself. I want to learn to simplify my life without worrying who I maybe offended when I said no, I want to learn to delegate….. if I can do this then I can feel at peace with myself instead of feeling guilt. I am so excited for this class.

  31. kathARTic studio says:

I need to refocus and find my pool of inner peace. I need to be able to draw from that pool and visit that place as often as I need it. I want to take this class to help plan/draw a mental map to that place and learn how to visit/revisit as needed.

  32. Autumne Horan says:

Everything about soul comfort makes me want to take the course!! I guess the biggest reason why I want to is because I was in trauma treatment centre for 12 weeks this summer and it has been a rocky transition home. The holidays are always a tough time because my family disowned me and I really need to take care of myself. I think that this course will help me continue with the work I learned in the treatment centre. Self care, art therapy, loving myself, putting myself first sometimes and not feeling guilty about it. It would be SO great! Thanks for the opportunity.

  33. With each blog that I visit I get a little more excited about certain points that jump out at me that I may have missed before. You almost need to read about it a dozen times to really see all the goodness in this class.
When I think of Soul Comfort, I think of that moment when I feel loved, protected, and at peace. Peace is seriously lacking right now. I would want to take this class to learn how to find a place of peace and rest among all the turmoil around me. Thank you for this opportunity to take this class. Winning this class would be the only way I could take it right now.

  34. My primary focus in life is to raise healthy, happy, strong and independent daughters. Over the past year, I have made a bit of progress in taking better care of myself and my daughters have noticed. One of the ways I have done this is by creating more often. It calms me and takes my mind off an incredibly stressful life situation our family is currently experiencing. Fall/Winder is very busy for our family – mixed in with the regular holidays are my wedding anniversary and both of my daughters’ birthdays. This year will be especially difficult for us financially. I would like to take this class because I know I will need all the help I can get to make it through the final months of this year. Thank you for the opportunity to win a spot in the Soul Comfort class!!

  35. When I think of Soul Comfort, I realize that it has only been in terms of something that someone else needed and it was my responsibility and job to provide it to them personally and in my career. As an Oncology Nurse I have always seen the need to provide to my patients and families comfort in the most devastating times of their diagnosis, treatment and other heartbreaking times they struggle with. In my personal life, I struggle with having an aging mother who worked her entire life for her children only to lose most of them. Being single, I fill in the void for her as much as possible.
Now I have recently lost my job of 20 years and I feel so lost…so broken and unsure of what to do.
With the help of very special friends in my life and special Brave Girl Sisters I have realized that what I really need is Soul Comfort of my own. I have given enough and fed enough souls for now without having my soul fed.

You can only give what you have.
It is the time right now for me to feed my soul before I can journey on to what it is meant for me next. Thank you for providing this opportunity to those that need it most….good luck Braves and hope to meet you in Soul Comfort. Denise

  36. Getting back to the simple life, that is what I need. Maybe one day, haha. Thanks for the amazing opportunity!

This class so speaks to me. I can’t believe how much I have gotten out of SR. Would love to take this one also. I’ve always wanted to learn art techniques. Raising 4 kids left little time. SR is helping me become me again. This would be a great way to continue on my journey. Thank you for doing this, so kind and giving.
