  1. Gorgeous, Suzanne! I love pink azaleas, lilac, cherry trees. And a huge soft spot for peonies. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I just planted a white peonie today Maryse along with many perennials and a several shrubs. Love gardening. I think I have reached almost my limit as to how much I can keep up with here at our home. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Your photos are beautiful. So glad you shared!

  3. These are beautiful! Too bad there’s no way to sniff them via the Internet! I’m sure they smell delightfully rich! Thanks so much for sharing, Suzanne!

  6. I absolutely love this season because I never experienced “spring” as a child! We had only two seasons in south Florida…summer and winter. I only saw blooms like these in photographs like yours!

My husband loves photography and he has several questions for you. He wants to know what camera, make and model, you are using. Did you use point and shoot app or did you change your own settings? What time of day did you shoot?

Thank you for making our spring last longer!

    • Oh wow that is so hard to imagine that someone may never have experienced spring or fall as a child. I guess I take our seasons for granted.

Ruth my camera is a Canon EOS Rebel T3i, the lens that I used is a Canon EFS 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6IS (kit lens). Some of my photos I took earlier in the day as the sun was coming up, a few were taken in the evening, but for the most part they were taken in the daytime. I don’t know much about photography, I’m still winging it a lot… when I’m not asking my daughter for a few tips. I would love to know all there is to know about photography without having to learn it. ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Oh yum Suzanne – what delicious gorgeous photos of your beautiful flowers. I’d never be able to choose a favorite – they all make my heart happy. Love the quotes as well – I have the Rumi one engraved on a bracelet that I never take off.

Fantastic pictures Suzanne, you have gotten really good with that new camera I see! Just today I picked my first Lilac blooms of the spring season from my back yard and brought them to the lake house. They perfume the air where I sit as I write this and it is so wonderful. Imagine my surprise to see your picture perfect post. Love springtime ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing!

    • Love it Dawn, the timing that you would have just picked your first Lilac blooms this spring as you read my post about it. It seems like you are a week or so behind with blooming season in comparison to us up here. Our lilacs are all done now the ones that I had photographed. But I have a few other lilac shrubs that are later, and they are now in full bloom. I wish I could bring my lilacs in the house but I find the scent a bit too overpowering for my nose. Thank you for leaving a lovely comment. Happy spring!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Lovely Suzanne! It’s wonderful to see you following your desires in this way. I, too, am really pulled to my camera in the spring, but I don’t have such a beautiful bounty of color to work with as you. I enjoyed every photo and could almost smell the blossoms!

    • Isn’t wonderful what nature offers us to photograph each spring. Enjoy your time out in nature Barbara. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for stopping by to check out my photos.

  10. Suzanne the photos are gorgeous! I have been so busy writing that I haven’t got an opportunity to get outside with the cameras! You’ve inspired me to do just that! Yes, I love the wisteria that blooms in my yard. It is just amazing! Maybe I should snap some photos of it before it’s gone. xo

    • Belinda, I almost feel like I have been at the opposite to you… I have been spending so much time taking photographs and haven’t been writing as much. You have been extremely busy for sure writing such beautiful blog posts. Thanks for coming over. xx

  11. Suzanne, its so pretty to see such gorgeous colours, pinks and blue, whites and greens when the drabness of late autumn is setting in where I am. Autumn golds are rare here by the coast, and trees hardly are bare, but having seen your photos of coverings of snow makes me feel the joy of seeking this even more. What a wonderful season. happy blooming ๐Ÿ™‚
