How our reality is created with our thoughts

The Teachings of Abraham is one of the things that I thoroughly enjoy listening to and learning from. Their message seems simple enough, yet profound and difficult to integrate in my life on a day-to-day basis. I seem to go in spurts listening to them until I feel confident and ready to start integrating the teachings a bit more. It always helps get me back on track and get me in the energy I need to be able to make the changes I want.

I often feel that life is like a yo-yo. I learn something. I implement it. It works great. I fall off the wagon. I forget some of the things I have learned. And I have to start over again. I love learning, but I do get frustrated when I can’t master everything in my life that needs fixing all-at-once. It would be so nice if it worked like that, but then again what would I have to do if everything was all fixed. I truly believe that we have a lifetime of learning to do. Practice makes perfect, and I certainly have a lot of practicing left to do in my life.

As I listened to one segment of their teachings today, these are some of the key-points that got my attention and how I interpreted other parts:

    • when we see something that we like and tell ourselves yes I want that… it gets included in our vibrational escrow. (Vibrational escrow: is the temporary, energetic “holding zone” where thoughts and desires are collecting and gathering steam, until such time that one is in alignment with them, at which time they become manifest). When we see something we like but then tell ourselves no for whatever reasons… then that also goes in our vibrational escrow.
    • we are vibrational beings – transmitters and receivers and the Universe brings to us exactly what is in our vibrations… whether it’s the stuff we say yes to or the stuff we say no to.
    • we are constantly creating with our thoughts regardless if they are good feeling thoughts or not so good feeling thoughts.
    • we have choices with everything that we do in life. We can move from where we are right this moment. We don’t have to stay in our pain, misery, unhappiness or suffering. We have sole responsibility for our own lives and how we want it to look like.
    • we need to get in the habit of noticing how we are feeling. And noticing what is going on with ourselves.
    • we are the creator of our own experiences in life. That one can be painful to hear, but it’s the truth. We create everything that we have in our lives from the good and the not so good.
    • we create deliberately by projecting our thoughts and the Universe delivers regardless of what we want or don’t want.
    • all the things we want are already in our vibrational escrow simply waiting for us to get in alignment with it so it can be shown to us. As soon as we become in alignment with it, Source (God) becomes one with that vibration, then the door has been open for instant manifestation of all that we have waited for. So when things we have wanted just aren’t coming, we are simply not in alignment with it yet that’s all.
    • when we are in alignment with what we want we will feel really good. But when we are out of alignment with what we want we will feel miserable and unhappy. An easy way for us to know where we stand is to pay attention to how we are feeling.
    • Abraham spoke about how most of us offer a vibrational frequency usually based on what we are observing in our environment. Guess what? The Universe then matches exactly that and gives us more of that exact thing whether it’s something we really want or don’t want.
    • in any which way that we can, we need to learn to make ourselves feel better. It takes effort, but those efforts will open up a vibrational portal and welcome in what’s been waiting in our vibrational escrow to become our new reality.
    • we need to find optimism and hope if we are suffering with dis-ease or an illness. It’s not about waiting for a doctor to give us the results that we want. We are the holder of that key to getting better. And it’s within that we need to go and explore to find our answers. We need to change our vibrational frequency, our thoughts to ones that are health focussed instead of dis-ease focussed, and we will start seeing and feeling the changes.
    • it’s so important that we learn to line up our frequencies to what is inside of ourselves, with what it is that we want. It’s not about lining up our vibrational frequency with anyone else, or anything else in the world.

The best place to start is to become aware as much as you can of where you stand on the Emotional Guidance Scale. You can print this image and have it on your fridge, or use it as a desktop picture on your computer, on your iPad or iPhone background, wherever at a glance you can know instantly where you stand so you can make a choice in that moment to move up the Emotional Guidance Scale. This is how we get more in alignment with everything that we wish to attract into our lives. We need to know where we are on this scale, move up high before we can manifest everything that our heart desires, that we are so deserving of having.

I encourage you to get familiar with The Teachings of Abraham, it will change your life. On YouTube you can find some wonderful short videos that you help you make changes so you can create the experiences you want. When travelling put a CD in, you’ll be amazed by what you will learn. I hope you will love the Teachings of Abraham as much as I do.

  1. FABULOUS post Suzanne and EXACTLY what I try to make people aware of…we have a job to do and WELCOME to that purpose.

    • Love it Dale that we are on the same page regarding Abraham’s teachings. There’s profound insights that can help us shift our way of thinking so we can live the best life we could ever imagine.

  2. I love the teachings of Abraham, Suzanne! Love, love LOVE them. A shift in awareness=shift in vibration=shift in reality. They’ve been a profound influence on my life. xo

    • I totally agree Susan and I’m so glad to hear that you love the teachings of Abraham as well. There’s probably no other way than to influence our lives once we start listening to them and taking action on what they teach. Love that your on board with Abraham too. xo

  3. Love it Suzanne! I have never read the Abraham books (but have now downloaded a couple!). The vibrational escow bits really speak to me as that is something I have noticed in my own life time and time again. Tell me, have you ever read a course in miracles? That’s what I usually dip in and out of; reading, learning, stopping while integrating, then dipping back into again.

    • The Abraham audios of them Teaching live sessions are wonderful as well. You can also go on YouTube and experience those there if you wish. Love that you are already aware of the vibrational escrow. I purchased the book A Course in Miracles 5 years ago or so and it sits on my bookshelf waiting for the one day where I’ll be ready to do maybe just one exercise as opposed as to trying to read it from cover to cover. Thanks for the reminder.

  4. I love the teachings of Abraham. I think that this is one of those teachings that really sticks to your ribs, or your heart! lol… The key I have always found is to notice the subtle undercurrents around your desires. It is one thing to desire something and another entirely to believe that it is yours. One holds a sense of lack and the other holds a sense of contentment.

Thanks for writing this and a great reminder!

    • It sticks alright. Once you be become awakened to their Teachings it doesn’t seem to really ever leave you does it. At least in my case it seems to be like that. Love how you explained it. Thanks for dropping in.

  5. Suzanne, I think this is what I’ve been looking for. I have felt these things in my heart but haven’t read much about it. I think I need to obtain a book quickly! (I’m in great need for connection and spiritual energy right now… )

I am so glad you commented on my blog because through that, I found your blog, and I look forward to delving into your posts.

    • Hi Erin, it’s so nice to have you here. Thank you for checking out my blog post, and I welcome you to read more of them if you’d like.

I’m so happy that you are interested in checking out Abraham’s work. Both my daughter and I seem to love more the audios and the YouTube clips that are there by the hundreds if not more. They may have an Introductory book, or CD… I don’t know. I just go with whatever I’m drawn to. I would recommend that you check out what they have and see what stands out most for you and that will be exactly where you need to start I would say. On YouTube just type in Abraham Hicks and a topic that you want answers to, that might be good place to start too. Someone else might comment here might be able to add something different that might be a good place for you to start. I takes a little bit of time at first to understand what they are telling us but the more you listen to their Teachings or the more you read the more you will get it. It’s just one of those things that we need to return to often. Enjoy Abraham! ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. And actually as I looked these books up, I realize there are many of them. Do you recommend on to start? Best, Erin

  7. You know I think I even have that CD, but have never listened to it. I believe in what you wrote — totally on a good day. Some days, it just slips my mind. Thanks for the well written reminder!

    • I agree with you Connie, on a good day I’m in the flow too then I slip and need the reminders. I’m so thrilled to see how many people here are familiar with Abraham’s teachings. Thanks for dropping in and leaving a comment.

  8. Suzanne, Wow! Look at the wonderful discourse you opened! I’ve read bits of a couple of the introductory Abraham books, but the one that is EASIEST for me is Manifest your Desires. It’s smaller, and filled with paintings. I open it to any old page & it shifts my vibration, seemingly regardless of the words on the page. It’s been very helpful as I become more responsible and CREAT-ive with my thinking. Excellent post, thank you, Suzanne.

    • Janet, I have not heard of Manifest your Desires book. It sounds very lovely with all the paintings. I’ll check that one out for sure and thank you for sharing it here. It sounds like a beautiful book. I appreciate as always your wonderful feedback. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. This is a great post. I am also like a yo-yo so I can relate to that! Sometimes I get frustrated with myself that I have all these tools and I’m not a bundle of peace and joy every single day…LOL…would I really want that? Probably not so I know it’s all good. I love the principles you’ve shared above and feel vibrational energy is so important. Thank you for the reminder. They help me stay on track:)

    • I’m laughing at the idea of seeing myself as a bundle of peace and joy everyday. Like you I have all these amazing tools and why isn’t it instantaneous changes? Maybe this is where the quote ‘I’m a spiritual being having a human experience’ comes in. We are getting there in baby-steps. ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. June Maddox says:

Really enjoyed this Blog…you have a very comforting writing voice. Love this knowledge of the vibrational portal…I believe that is so true. The universe responds to us.
    June

    • Glad to hear that you enjoyed reading this blog post June. So true, the Universe responds to us with where we are vibrationally. Nice to see that you enjoy Abraham as well. Thanks for dropping in. ๐Ÿ™‚
